Discovering some remarkable corners of North Vietnam where ancient history and stunning landscapes collide. Visit Hanoi’s famous landmarks built throughout centuries. Traveling from the top hill to the down hills, meeting the Hmong people and other minority villagers on a hill tribe excursion in Sapa.  Exploring the limestone karsts and rice paddies of ‘Halong on Land’ before boarding a boat to cruise the real Halong Bay. Admiring the beauty of the renowned Bai Dinh complexes and Trang An grottoes. This trip offers great value as it introduces the region’s main sights, providing plenty of flexibility so you can experience an adventure you’ll never forget.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Hanoi - Hanoi City Tour (L)

  • 7:45 – 8:15: Free pick up at your hotel. Then visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum to explore the architectural and historical aspects of Uncle Ho’s final resting-place. Right next door is Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts and lying to one side of the Mausoleum is the One Pillar Pagoda, which was founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049 - the structure has become an important symbol for the people of Hanoi. Continue on to the Buddhist Tran Quoc Pagoda at West lake (One of the oldest pagodas in Vietnam). 
  • Visit Bat Trang pottery village (applied on Mon, Wed & Fri). 
  • Lunch at a local restaurant.
  • After lunch, proceed to visit the Ethnology Museum (apply on Sun, Tue, Thu & Sat), the Literature Temple and Quoc Tu Giam - Vietnam’s very first university, constructed in 1070. Its gardens and well-preserved architecture will offer a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam’s past. 
  • Travel past Hoan Kiem Lake to see the peaceful waters and the beauty of Ngoc Son temple. In the end, journey through Hanoi’s Old Quarter, where you’ll then have a chance for some shopping and exploration. Tour ends around 15h30 - 16h00.

Day 2: Hanoi - Sapa by Limousine - Short trek to Cat Cat Village (B/L/D)

  • 6:30 – 7:00: Pick up from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter or the meeting point (Hanoi Opera House), get on a big bus and depart for Sapa.
  • 9:30: Follow the highway to Lao Cai city with the first comfort break
  • 11:00: Second comfort break at Lao Cai city before approaching Sapa
  • 13:00: Arrive at Sapa Town with colorful traditional costumes of H’mong, Dzao, Tay ethnic People. Our tour guide will inform you before checking in, then enjoy the set menu lunch with Vietnamese cuisine.
  • 14:30: A short drive to the gate of Cat Cat village which is home of Black H’ mong ethnic people and is located near the bottom of a deep valley at the foot of Fansipan Peak. Our local guide will show you the daily activities of the locals, go trekking down to the valley bottom to the waterfall - Hydraulic Power Station; stop for photos with bridge and waterfall, then walk up the hill for the bus to pick you up to get back to Sapa in the afternoon.
  •  Trekking distance is about 2.5 km and lasts for 2 hours
  • 17:00: Come back to Sapa Town. Free at leisure until 19:00. Have dinner and overnight in a hotel with night activities.

Day 3: Lao Chai - Ta Van - Muong Hoa Valley - Hanoi (B/L)

  • 7:00 – 8:00: Have breakfast at the hotel, check out the room and prepare a light pack for trekking. (Big luggage kept in the hotel store)
  • 8:00: A short trek through the rice terraces and along Muong Hoa Stream to the Black Hmong village of Lao Chai to see the spectacular landscape of Hoang Lien Son Mountain. After that, head to Ta Van village - home of Dzay ethnic people.
    Trekking distance is about 9 km and lasts for 3.5 hours
  • 11:30: Our bus picks you up at Ta Van Bridge to get back to Sapa.
  • 12:30 - 13.30: Have lunch at the hotel.
  • 13:30 - 14:45: Relax at your own leisure, have a shower in the public bathroom in the hotel if you want.
  • 14:45 - 15:00: Meet all group members at the hotel to get ready for Hanoi.
  • 15:30: Get on the bus to go back to Hanoi with two comfort breaks.
  • 21:15: We say goodbye to you at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter.

Day 4: Ha Long Bay (B/L)

  • 8:30 - 09:30: Our bus and guide pick you up from your hotel. Stay and follow the new expressway to depart for Tuan Chau Island, Halong City, stop over for a rest on the way.
  • 12:00: Arrive in Tuan Chau Harbor, welcome aboard, and safety briefing. Cruise will take you on a 5 hours journey via 2 day-sleeper boat cruise route which is renowned for its striking passages, uninhabited islets and outcrops that have been given imaginative names by the locals due to their perceived shapes, including the Fighting Chickens, while enjoy Vietnamese mouth-watering lunch on boat.
  • 13:45: Arrive in Bo Hon archipelago, where you visit Surprising Cave to see a lot of stalagmites and stalactites with different shapes of sea life, then kayak or bamboo boat in Luon Cave to discover the beautiful lagoon. Visit Titov Island with its sandy beach adjacent to the towering limestone mountain with an excellent backdrop of the Bay, and climb up Titop Peak for a panoramic view of the bay like paradise.
  • 16:30: Return to the Cruise for Afternoon Tea and cruise back toward Tuan Chau harbor. There is a lot of time for sunbathing on the upper deck among the world's iconic natural scenery.
  • 18:00: Disembark for a bus ride back on the new expressway to Hanoi.
  • 21:00: Drop off at your hotel stay, trip ends.

Day 5: Ninh Binh: Bai Dinh Pagoda- Trang An Grottoes - Mua Cave (B/L)

  • 07:00 – 07:30: Our guide will meet you at your  hotel/stay and start  110km modern  Bus-journey through verdant landscape of countryside. Short-break en-route.
  • 10:00: Arrive at Glimmering Bai Dinh  pagoda complexes, the largest pagoda, not only in Vietnam but also in Southeast of Asia. Scenically set on the foot hill of  Dinh Mountain surrounded by amazing views of the exquisite river valley  below and dotted and the limestone karsts dotted around which will take your breath away. 
  • These pagoda complexes stunningly  boast a array of the most massive and magnificent architecture of Vietnamese tradition refined ever built that it take a full day to explore all. So you will visit some of the highlights that are owned by the nation: 500 stone statues of “La Han'' (Arhats), 2 huge bronze bells, one weighs 27 tons, the other weighs 36 tons. Visit The Quan Yin statue with a thousand arms and eyes, Visit Gautama Buddha statue.
  • 12:00:  Enjoy lunch at our restaurant with the great local cuisines.
  • 13:30: Leave for the Trang An Grottoes, an out-standing natural beauty of majestic limestone massif at 20 square kilometer rise dramatically out from rice paddy fields. Deep into the linked chains of towering mountains are pristine places of mystical valleys, numerous fresh water ponds, and jungle.
    Embark on a traditional sampan gently rowed down the exquisite river through numerous  caves: Lam Cave, Vang Cave, Dai Cave, Thanh Truot Cave,...and Cao Sơn Temple, Suoi Tien Temple, Vu Lam Temple…
  • 15:30: Visit Mua Cave and start an amazing trek up to the top of Ngoa long mountain to watch the spectacular rice valley with a precious view of nature.
  • 17:15: Return to our bus and then come back to Ha Noi
  • 19:30: Drop you off at your hotel/stay. Trip ends.

Day 6: Transfer services to airport (Option) and flight back to your home
