Bach Moc Peak with an altitude of 3046m is the 4th highest mountain of Vietnam, located at the natural boundary of the two provinces of Lai Chau and Lao Cai. This is also one of the beautiful cloud hunting places of the mountain climbing enthusiasts’ community
It can be said that “dawn in the clouds” has become the trademark of the mountain named Bach Moc. The terrain of Bach Moc is quite diverse and difficult to climb, requiring you to prepare skills and a good physical foundation. However, the value of the beautiful scenery here is always commensurate with the effort that you have to spend conquering this peak.
Itinerary
Day 0: HANOI – SAPA
22h00: Tour guide picks you up at the meeting point, board the car to move to Sa Pa, Lao Cai.
Overnight in a high-quality sleeper bus
Route: Hanoi - Noi Bai - Highway Hanoi - Lao Cai - Sa Pa.
You can get picked up by the bus at the airport, so book a flight to Noi Bai earlier than 22:30. Buses depart daily, you can go to Sapa before or stay in Sapa after finishing trekking.
Day 1: SAPA – BACH MOC/ Campsite 2100m (B/ L/ D)
- 04h00: Arrive in Sapa, the group moves to check in to the hotel, rest, personal hygiene.
- 06h00: Have breakfast at the restaurant, leave unnecessary things kept at the hotel
- 06h30: The tour guide introduces the program and guides you to the notes in the journey
- 07h00: Get on the bus to move to the trekking point at Ky Quan San village (Sang Ma Sao commune), about 60km from Sapa.
- 09h00: Arriving at the trekking point, send your luggage to the porter. The journey begins.
- 12h00: Rest and have lunch, then continue the journey.
- 17h30: Arrive at the campsite at an altitude of 2100m, rest after the journey of the first day.
- 18:30: Have dinner, interact with members of the delegation, then continue to enjoy the quiet mountain space.
Overnight in a wooden shack, covered with blankets and insulated mats to keep warm.
Day 2: BACH MOC PEAK (B/L/D)
- 04h00: Wake up early, enjoy breakfast, sip a cup of coffee or warm ginger tea.
- 05h00: Warm up and begin the final conquest of the journey. On the way you will pass the most beautiful cloud viewing point of the journey at an altitude of 2500m.
- 09h00: Reaching Bach Moc peak, the group rests and enjoys the scenery on the top of the mountain. Return to the campsite after lunch
- 17h00: Return to the campsite, rest and have dinner
Overnight in the wooden shack.
Note: If the weather conditions are not favorable, you will sleep more in the shack and will depart later at 07h00.
Day 3: SALT HILL/ SAPA – HANOI (B/L/D)
- 05h00: Wake up, move through Salt Hill, watch the sunrise, enjoy the scenery on the swing
- 07h00: Return to the campsite for breakfast
- 07h30: Prepare and pack your personal belongings, return to the original starting point at Ky Quan San.
- 11:30: Return to the foot of the mountain, then take a motorbike taxi to the porter's house, rest and have lunch
- 14h00: The bus takes you back to Sapa.
- 16h00: Take a bath with Red Dzao medicinal leaves, soak in a hot tub and relax after a long journey
- 19h00: Have dinner at a restaurant, enjoy sturgeon hotpot with lots of fresh vegetables, and raise a glass of sweet apple cider to congratulate the success.
- 23h00: Get on the sleeper bus back to Hanoi
- 04:30: Return to the original meeting point the next morning
At the end of the program, the tour guide bids you farewell.
