To reach the dream peak of Pu Ta Leng, we experience the journey through the primeval forest of Tam Duong district, Lai Chau province. Pu Ta Leng‘s specialties are cool streams and azalea flowers blossoming every spring. This route is quite diverse in terrain. Initially, you will trek through the forest trails. As the altitude increases, the slope is also more, you must often cling to the roots and trunk to continue climbing.
And especially, if you go to Pu Ta Leng in the spring, when the azaleas bloom, you will see this forest with beautiful red and pink colors. There are passages where azaleas bloom brilliantly and flowers fall, covering the paths.
And don’t forget to try touching the cool water of the beautiful springs of Pu Ta Leng. You will encounter many of them along the way. Step through the deserted streams to see the wild and rustic nature but full of fun.
Itinerary
Ngày 0: HANOI – SAPA
22h00: Tour guide picks you up at the meeting point, board the car to move to Sa Pa, Lao Cai.
Overnight in a high-quality sleeper bus
Route: Hanoi - Noi Bai - Highway Hanoi - Lao Cai - Sa Pa.
You can get picked up by the bus at the airport, so book a flight to Noi Bai earlier than 22:30. Buses depart daily, you can go to Sapa before or stay in Sapa after finishing trekking.
Day 1: SAPA – HO THAU (B/ L/ D)
- 04h00: Arrive in Sapa, the group moves to check in to the hotel, rest, personal hygiene.
- 06h00: Have breakfast at the restaurant, leave unnecessary things kept at the hotel
- 06h30: The tour guide introduces the program and guides you to the notes in the journey
- 07h00: Get on the bus to move to the trekking point at Ho Thau village, about 60km from Sapa.
- 09h00: Arriving at the trekking point, send your luggage to the porter. The journey begins.
- 12h00: Rest and have lunch in Thao Qua valley.
- 16h00: Arrive at the first campsite - Ho Thau shack. Relax and prepare for dinner.
- 18:30: Have dinner, interact with members of the delegation, then continue to enjoy the quiet mountain space.Overnight in a wooden shack, covered with blankets and insulated mats to keep warm.
Day 2: Reaching the top of PU TA LENG through the principal forest (B/L/D)
- 05h30: Wake up, enjoy breakfast, sip a cup of coffee or warm ginger tea.
- 06h30: Warm up and begin the final conquest to reach the top.
- 09h30: Reaching the top of Pu Ta Leng, have some rest, take pictures to check in and enjoy the scenery on the top of the mountain, then return to the campsite.
- 12:30: Have lunch at the shack, then pack up to move on to the second night's rest - Ta Leng shack.
- 16h00: Back to the campsite, rest and have dinner.
Overnight in the wooden shack.
Ngày 3: TA LENG – SAPA – HANOI (B/ L/ D)
- 05:30: Get up early to catch the sunrise and have breakfast.
- 06h30: Pack up your personal belongings, continue trekking for more than 6 hours to the center of Ta Leng commune.
- 12h45: The group rests for lunch, then get on the bus back to Sapa.
- 16h00: Take a bath with Red Dzao medicinal leaves, soak in a hot tub, relax after a long journey.
- 19h00: Have dinner at the restaurant, enjoy sturgeon hotpot with lots of fresh vegetables, and raise a glass of sweet apple cider to congratulate the success.
- 23h00: Get on the sleeper bus back to Hanoi.
- 04h30: The next morning, return to the original meeting point.
At the end of the program, the tour guide bids you farewell.
To be sure, you should choose a flight departing from Noi Bai airport at 07h00.
